I sit under the bed, a broken toy
Useless as the old Gym sock
A forgotten toy, damaged beyond repair
My love used to play with me
For hours on end
But time went by,
Lost in memory
Lost under the bed
A useless, forgotten, broken toy soldier
No more play
No more fight
No more but to sit under the bed
Beside the old Gym sock
Broken and forgotten
No more will this toy be playable
Limbs detached, battered and broken
Leaning by the wall
Painted eyes unfocused, color faded
Broken and battered
Lost under the bed
A useless, forgotten, battered and broken toy soldier
But time went by,
Lost in memory
Lost under the bed
A useless, forgotten, broken toy soldier
No more play
No more fight
No more but to sit under the bed
Beside the old Gym sock
No more time to play
No more air to breathe
This toy soldier will no longer play
Just lay by the old Gym sock
useless as can be
But time went by,
Lost in memory
Lost under the bed
A useless, forgotten, broken toy soldier
No more play
No more fight
No more but to sit under the bed
Beside the old Gym sock
But time went by,
Lost in memory
Lost under the bed
A useless, forgotten, broken toy soldier
No more play
No more fight
No more but to sit under the bed
Beside the old Gym sock
A light shines above
I look up to see
A familiar face, and some glue in her hand
A smile on her face, a look of happy reunion
This broken toy stares up
A plastic smile on this broken toy
She scoops me up
And fixes her old friend
Time went by,
New memories made
Lost in happiness
A fixed toy soldier
More time to play
More time to fight
No more to sit under the bed
Beside the old Gym sock
This is one of my Poetry's I did when i was in the 7th grade. I sure am impressed with it...
